Sponsor a Nurse in the Nurse A School Program
As part of the COVID -19 recovery and resilience program, Health For Nigeria is launching the Nurse A School Program to recruit registered nurses (RNs) who will: administer and run school clinics/sickbays, provide healthcare support services to students, teachers, & staff, and foster health education, awareness and literacy and establish health clubs in rural primary/secondary schools.
A major goal of this program is to foster a lifetime of health awareness and healthy habits in the children. The nurses would also be key in the COVID19 response and recovery efforts in opening schools. They would be trained in the best COVID19 re-entry and re-education practices to be utilized in the schools.
The cost of sponsoring a nurse includes recruitment, selection, placement, training, equipment and the nurses salary for a year.
Sponsor a School in the Nurse A School Program
In addition to recruiting and placing a nurse in primary/ secondary schools, Health For Nigeria will rehabilitate a room in the existing school which will serve as a clinic/sickbay.
The clinic/sickbay will contain the necessary furniture and equipment to provide first aid services for the students, teachers and staff. This will not only benefit the school but the rural community at large.
The cost of sponsoring a school includes the cost of Sponsoring A Nurse in addition to Set-up/Rehabilitation of the clinic/sickbay, inventory and stock management for a year.
